That relentless attention brings dry weight down to 102kg, engineered to be light enough to change direction instantly and built to the standard a full moto requires

A purpose-built intake system and dive-type duct feed a high-compression 13.9:1 engine, built to breathe deep and rev hard. The result is strong power right through the top end, without giving up the low-speed torque you need to drive out of every turn.

Every line of the MX250 was drawn with intent, aggressive, purposeful, unmistakably built to race. It’s a bike that looks as capable as it rides, engineered as one complete package rather than styled after the fact.
Performance Powertrain
The MX250’s powertrain and chassis are built around one principle: every component earns its place.
Here’s what’s underneath it.
Engine
Single-cylinder, DOHC, 4-valve, 4-stroke, with Bosch EFI dual injectors and a 13.9:1 compression ratio. A DLC-coated rocker arm and titanium valves are built into the valvetrain for sustained high-rpm use.
Suspension
Front and rear suspension is supplied by KYB, with adjustable compression and rebound damping at both ends and additional preload adjustment at the rear. Development included 240 hours of continuous testing.
Braking
Confidence-inspiring stopping power, engineered for the demands of motocross. Front: a single 260mm floating disc with a twin-piston caliper. Rear: a single 240mm disc with a single-piston floating caliper.
Frame
Built to take a beating and come back for more. A cradle frame with twin-beam construction and an aluminium subframe forms the foundation, paired with a one-piece aluminium alloy handlebar and an aluminium alloy double-sided swingarm.
Alloy Wheel Axle
Lightweight aluminium alloy axle helps reduce the overall bike weight while offering excellent durability and corrosion resistance for long-lasting performance.
Swingarm
Lightweight aluminium swingarm and premium 7075 aluminium wheel rims enhance handling, strength, and durability.
Core Configuration
Adjustable rake and anti-squat angles allow riders to fine-tune geometry for varying riding conditions.
Practical
A one-piece, high-strength aluminium handlebar and durable footpegs set the rider’s control points, paired with an ergonomic, narrow seat design for better control and agility on the bike.
Fuel tank
A 6.5-litre fuel tank sized and positioned to keep weight centralised, so range doesn’t come at the expense of handling.
Exhaust
A stainless steel exhaust pipe paired with an aluminium alloy muffler shell, built for durability without unnecessary weight.
Wheels
Spoked wheels front and rear, sized 21-inch front and 19-inch rear, the proven configuration motocross has trusted for decades.
